The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park is a historic museum on the shore of Lake Erie in Buffalo, New York. Both buildings and the entire outdoor exhibit area were built in 2007-8 as part of the restoration of the historic terminus of the Erie Canal nearby.īeyond the outdoor displays are a number of memorials and monuments for nearly every war. Self guided tours of the USS Croaker submarine, USS Little Rock missile cruiser, and USS The Sullivans destroyer are available as part of the admission fee. Check out the Martin House Complex, the National Warplane Museum, the Buffalo Museum of Science, and Old Fort Niagara. This submarine was in service from 1944-1946 and again from 1951 through 1968. It features three naval ships moored in the Buffalo River.
